Coffee is good for the soul.

I met up with a friend for lunch today in DC.

As I sat listening to her explain how her parents divorced when she was 13, my heart ears perked up and I realized the restaurant was playing Paul Simon. We said hello to Hadi and carried on our conversation.

This same friend told me I had to try Dangerously Delicious Pies. This place has been brought up in conversation at least three times in the past few weeks. I am thinking my future holds chocolate pecan pie as well as some Hadi’s roast from Coexist. I should pick up a book to go along with them. Speaking of which, I need to go take Zakaria to the Scholastic Book Fair. I think Zakaria wants some Harry Potter. ;)
