It’s the last day of 2021. I started my day with a walk by the Potomac River. I looked at the tree that we took family pictures by when Hadi and Zakaria turned one. I thought about how wonderfully messy life can be and as I sit in Weird Brothers, enjoying a cherry Elven Blade and listen to 90’s punk music, I can only imagine what 2022 will bring. Zakaria made sure I stayed up until midnight last year. I am thinking I will last until 10pm this year and that’s only because I am determined to finish this Lord of the Rings puzzle my lovely neighbor gifted me. While I love her for being there when I became a single mother overnight and when my house caught on fire, right now, I want tl throw this puzzle at her. :)

Concerts, travel, movies…a cure for all bone marrow failure diseases, Mandalorian, spiritual growth, Orange Theory, strengthening volunteering/community engagement, stopping the donation of clothes with stains, holes, etc. Growing support for women, particularly those going through divorce. These are a few of the things on my mind for 2022. How about you?

Also…does anyone actually know the lyrics to Auld Lang Syne?
